Pilibhit: A filmy style dispute broke out at a wedding held in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. This controversy became a topic of discussion around. The dispute escalated to such an extent that after hours of high voltage drama, the marriage procession returned without seeing off the daughter-in-law. At present, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s father.
The entire incident is being reported from Puranpur tehsil of Pilibhit district where a wedding ceremony was going on on Wednesday. The bride and groom were made to sit on the stage to give blessings. Guests started coming and going on the stage. It is being told that meanwhile a young man came on the stage and started giving a gift to the bride. During this time he also talked to the girl. The groom had some doubts about this.
When the groom inquired from the bride, she told the young man to be her aunt’s son. As the dispute was getting deeper, another friend of the young man also reached the stage with a gift. Disgusted with the whole matter, the groom’s side beat up both the youths on the stage itself. During the beating, the young man’s friend revealed his long-running love story. The dispute escalated to such an extent that the groom flatly refused to marry. The panchayat which lasted for hours remained inconclusive and the marriage broke up after the bride’s party returned the money spent.
Giving more information on the whole matter, Inspector Naresh Tyagi, in-charge of Puranpur Kotwali said that there was a dispute between both the parties during the marriage. Currently, on the complaint of the father, a case of molestation has been registered against the youth who had come to the wedding and further action is being taken.
